| R-Phase: Rehabilitation, Restoration, Re-Education: |
With R-Phase, we focus on the basics: isolating movement and practicing with intent. In the beginning, all movements are done from a neutral stance position. In addition, we introduce and discuss anatomy, kinesiology, and fundamental neuroscience — to lay the foundation for the "whys" of the system. R-Phase, the initial stage, often brings dramatic changes in people, and provides trainers with a set of assessment tools and protocols to bring immediate results to their clients.
 |
| I-Phase: Integration Phase: |
I-Phase, a much more athletic approach, expands on the R-Phase drills to include "real-world" athletic positions and stances. It moves past the joints to look at the roles of the visual and vestibular (inner ear/balance) systems in movement. Significant time is spent discussing HOW we learn and what needs to happen to replace bad — or other unfavorable — movement patterns.
 |
| S-Phase: Sports Phase: |
The certification program for S-Phase builds on the athletic movement foundation established in I-Phase. Trainers learn to both teach and perform the elite level basics of all sport mechanics: sprinting, cutting, linear and lateral speed, plyometric drills, and upper/lower body differentiation — and a lot of time is spent “playing.” New visual drills and assessment protocols are also introduced.
 |
| T-Phase: Therapy Phase: |
T-Phase covers multiple systems of the body, including the lymphatic, nervous, respiratory, cranial, dermal, and fascial — their complex relationships and how they communicate with one another. For example, tissue damaged from injuries and surgeries can impact a person’s movement and performance years later; impinged nerves cause the associated muscles to be weak; chronic pain is not the same neurologically as acute pain; etc.

| 9S: Core Athletic Attribute Development: |
These “basics” are inter-related, and need to be studied and trained to help athletes reach their true genetic potential. Each year, Z-Health holds a certification for one of the 9S programs. In 2008, Z-Health held certifications in Strength and Suppleness; this past summer, the Sustenance & Spirit certification was held.
 |
| Master Trainer Program: |
Being a professional, world-class educator demands exceptional levels of skill in a variety of areas. In addition to long and intense preparation, Z-Health Master Trainer candidates must have both an extensive Z-Health and academic body of knowledge. They are required to participate in a 9-month testing process, culminating in a six-day live-testing event. The Z-Health Master Trainer Program incorporates numerous “character challenges” into its curriculum, to ensure that academic and physical abilities are challenged, as well as individual motivation and stress management skills.

| Workshop: Essentials of Elite Performance: |
A new workshop for 2010, we've taken the basic principles from the first three Z-Health certification programs - R-Phase, I-Phase, and S-Phase – (yes, that's 14 days of professional certification training), and created a comprehensive, 3-day workshop designed to show you the step-by-step process necessary to take your life and athleticism to the next level. Whether you use the course for continuing education credits, as a way to test the waters before signing up for R-Phase (the first course in the Z-Health certification process), or as a vital step in your own athletic development, the Essentials of Elite Performance will profoundly change your body and your approach to training in three short days.
