How to do the Side to Side Rope Exercise Side to Side Waves are great rotational strength builders. Start with the handles in front of you and create horizontal waves with the rope. Rotate one direction and then immediately the other. Repeat this motion as many times as you can. This exercise is great for building strength and endurance in your upper body but will also strengthen your rotational power.
