Mark de Grasse 300lb sandbag deadlift with Brute Force Sandbag.300lb Brute Force Sandbag Set Up

I used two 32kg kettlebells, two 24kg kettlebells, and a 50lb sandbag insert. I recommend keeping the 50lb sandbag insert on the bottom of the bag so you don't crush your toes with the kettlebells. I put each 32kg kettlebell on the ends and the 24kg kettlebells on top of the sandbag insert in the middle.

300lb Sandbag Deadlift Instructions

With your feet shoulder width apart (or less), bend at the hips, keeping the back straight and knees slightly bent. Reach down and grab the handles of the sandbag. Walk the sandbag back and forth until it rests on top of your feet. keeping your arms locked out, straighten your body while keeping your back straight by pushing your hips forward until you're in a fully vertical position. Bending at the hips with your knees slightly bent, push your hips back and lower the sandbag while keeping your arms locked out throughout the exercise.

Great stuff Mark, I have not thought of using my sandbag like that, I have the strongman grade sandbag. I wonder how many consecutive repititions it could handle at that weight, considering it is far overloaded. Great idea i'll have to give it a try.

@IronMan24 - Actually, I did about 20 reps when shooting this video (I needed the right angle and all smilies/tongue.gif) and the bag never made so much as a creak (no popping, tearing, or any other noise either!). Brute Force recently posted a video where they hung 900lbs from the handles, so I don't think you can actually stuff it with enough stuff to break anything. I think they put the weight limits on the website because you can only stuff so much sand into it (I've only been able to put about 120lbs in at once).

I love the brute force bags. I've got 1 from them (the small athlete model) and a big one from ultimate sandbags. Brute force is easily and without question a better and more durable bag. I'm not surprised at all that you can put 300lbs in that thing. Too bad I can't put KB's in my "athlete" and do heavy power cleans. Although I may try it just to see if I can get away with it without breaking my face smilies/grin.gif
