How to do Split Squat Jumps

The Split Squat Jump is a powerful leg exercise that will not only build leg strength but explosive power as well. Use this exercise if you are free of knee problems and watch your leg endurance, strength and power soar! Use it as your leg emphasis on bodyweight days or as a finisher with other methods.

Exercise Steps
Step 1

Get into a low lunge position with one leg in front of the other

Step 2

In the low position, jump up and switch leg positions and land in a low lunge

Step 3

Repeat this exercise back and forth as many times as desired.

Tips

Make sure your knees track over your toes throughout the entire exercise. Keep your back as straight and vertical as possible. Only perform this exercise if you have no knee, hip, or ankle injuries to speak of.
