How to do the Grasshopper Push Up Exercise

The Grasshopper Push up is not only a great upper body exercise but a great hip and back flexibility exercise as well. Try this exercise to add some variety to your bodyweight routine and watch your strength and flexibility soar.

Exercise Steps
Step 1

Get into a push up position with your hands on the ground under your shoulders and your body a straight line

Step 2

Bring your left foot under and across your body as far as you can reach and perform a push up

Step 3

Bring your left book to pushup position and then repeat with the other side.

Tips

Maintain a tight core throughout the exercise. This will put your shoulders and hips through a wider range of motion vs regular pushups so make sure your body can handle it.
