How to do Wide Grip Pull Ups The Wide Grip Pull up will hit the upper portion of your lats greater than a narrow grip. Do this exercise to put on some serious size and strength to your upper back and biceps.

Step 1 Grab a sturdy pull up bar with a wide grip.
Step 2 Look up slightly, take a breath in and pull yourself up to where your chin is over the bar.
Step 3 Slowly lower yourself and repeat.
Tips Maintain a tight core throughout the duration of the exercise. Do not use any kind of swinging motion. Have a partner hold your legs or use a step to assist in this exercise until you build the strength to do it yourself.
