| The clap push up is a great explosive exercise for upper body power. You can vary how high you go by pushing harder making it a much more challenging exercise. Make sure to build up to this exercise so and don't clap your hands in the up position until you feel perfectly comfortable. Just getting off the ground is a great step up to the clap push up. | |||||||

| Exercise Steps |
| Position yourself on the ground so that your hands are directly under you shoulders and your body stays in a straight line | |
| Look slightly ahead of you and lower your body maintaining a straight line | |
| Push as hard as you can coming off the ground and clapping your hands together and then drop back into the bottom position and repeat | |
| Maintain core tension throughout the entire exercise so as not to let the hips drop. |
